“I enjoy making even the smallest difference in a person’s life. The most rewarding thing for me is when I see the smile on someone’s face and the appreciation a person feels when they learn something new for the first time or complete a task that they have been struggling with for a while. I feel that working at New Hope Community was a good decision I made many years ago and I am happy with the differences I have made in people’s lives.”

Making a Difference
Rebecca came to New Hope Community over 18 years ago in August 1998. Not having much experience in the Human Services, field, Rebecca always enjoyed helping others and believed she could make a difference in the lives of the people we support at New Hope Community.
Rebecca began her career as a Direct Support Professional in one of our Community Residences where Rebecca assisted with daily living skills for the people we support. The home converted to an ICF and Rebecca was promoted to Senior Direct Support Professional.
After working in that home for 17 years, Rebecca made a change and transferred to the Living Arts Center Day Program where she is currently a Senior Direct Support Professional.
