Giving Through Donor Advised Funds

Donations from people like you enable New Hope Community to offer meaningful experiences not funded by Medicaid. Hope Farm, Stables at McCoy Meadow, our greenhouses, our Sensory Garden, and our Holistic Wellness Program all exist and thrive thanks to the generous donations of donors like you.

For some people, giving through a donor-advised fund holds certain tax advantages or facilitates specific philanthropic objectives.

A donor-advised fund is like a charitable investment account, for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about. When you contribute cash, securities or other assets to a donor-advised fund at a public charity, you are generally eligible to take an immediate tax deduction. Then those funds can be invested for tax-free growth and you can recommend grants to virtually any IRS-qualified public charity – including the NHC Foundation.

You should speak to your financial planner or tax advisor to determine if creating a donor-advised fund is right for you. If you already have a donor-advised fund you can use several ways (online, phone, mobile app) to access your account. Simply provide our details (NHC Foundation, PO Box 289, 5 New Hope Community Drive, Loch Sheldrake, NY 12759, Tax-ID: 14-1730634) and submit your grant recommendation.
