Anthony is our current Hope Farm Associate, a former SEMP (Supported Employment Program) employee, and proud past recipient of the Staff Spotlight Award. He’s a valued team member and friend to all here at New Hope.

We asked him some questions, and he gave us some answers. Get to know Anthony below!

Q: How’d you get your start here at New Hope?

A: I started as an employee of SEMP, and after a while was hired full time as a Farm Associate. It’s great because now I get paid time off and benefits, and this is the longest job I’ve ever had.

Q: What’s your favorite part about your job?

A: My coworkers, the people who live here and visit the farm, growing food for the houses, the students (of SUNY Sullivan), and I just love my office. I have the best office at New Hope.

Q: Favorite movie, TV show, or song you’ve had on repeat lately?

A: Easy, The Simpsons.

Q: If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?

A: The Bahamas. I’ve never left the country, so it would be great to visit there.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

A: I can’t see myself not farming, so still at the farm, doing what I love.

Q: What advice would you give someone just starting out at New Hope?

A: Have patience, be flexible, and just have fun!
