New Hope Resident
Edition: August 2026

For over ten years, Jon has been an important part of the New Hope community, bringing warmth and a genuine appreciation for the people and experiences that make New Hope feel like home.

Whether he’s spending time with friends, heading out for a bike ride, or keeping up with the latest news, Jon embraces each day with enthusiasm and a strong sense of connection to the community around him.

Jon has called New Hope home for over a decade, and for him, it’s the relationships that have made the biggest impact.

Looking back on his early days, one thing stands out most for him, “My housemates. I really liked my housemates, and I still live with one of them today.”

That sense of continuity and connection continues to shape Jon’s experience. Today, he lives in a home he’s proud of, surrounded by the people and things he cares about most.

“I live in a really nice house… and I like seeing and spending time with my friends,” Jon shared. “And my cat, Chloe.”

A typical day for Jon includes attending WOW program, where he stays active and social.

“I go to WOW and see my friends and get to do a bunch of activities,” he said.

Outside of structured programming, Jon enjoys simple, meaningful moments, especially getting outdoors.

“I like to ride my bicycle at Morningside Park, which is my favorite.”

Jon also has a love for movies and staying informed. A fan of the classics, he shared,

“I like Star Wars a lot, especially The Empire Strikes Back.”

When he’s not watching movies, you can often find him tuned into the news or checking the weather, another part of his daily routine that keeps him engaged with the world around him.

And when it comes to travel, Jon has already made some unforgettable memories!

“I really like the Bahamas,” he said. “I went there on a trip recently and got to feed the island pigs. That was really fun.”
